Kelsey Schwartz and Reginald Hartsfield
have jointly owned and operated
Advantage Consulting and Education Services, Inc., originally
known as Advantage Health Systems, since 1992. Having developed a
reputation for excellence in the state of Michigan, and desiring to have
a greater impact in long term care, they launched
Advantage Management Group LTC
in 2003. Advantage Management Group manages and owns skilled
nursing facilities in the state of Michigan.
Kelsey Schwartz, RNC, NHA
Principal
Ms. Schwartz has been in
the long-term care industry since 1981. and has developed a reputation
for excellence in the State of Michigan. The management arm, known as
Advantage Management Group manages over 12 million dollars in assets.
Ms. Schwartz is considered an expert in
facility intervention and value-added facility improvement through
census development, regulatory stance and overall financial and
operational management. Successful sales of small chains, retention of
hospital owned facilities, and increased stakeholder confidence in
community hospitals are among Ms. Schwartz's credits.
An expert in the Prospective Payment
System under Medicare, Ms Schwartz has led her team to work with
organizations to improve systems for Medicare reimbursement.
Ms. Schwartz has written articles for Long
Term Care Management Magazine and is frequently quoted in various
industry newsletters. Ms. Schwartz has worked with organizations in
urban, suburban and rural areas and has developed a flexible management
system that adapts to the culture of the organization.
Reginald G. Hartsfield, NHA, B.A., Finance
Principal
Mr. Hartsfield came to the industry from
International Business Machines (IBM) where he worked as an account
executive covering several industries, including healthcare. He was
responsible for generating $22 million in revenue. In addition, Mr.
Hartsfield was founder and co-owner HSI, Incorporated a profitable
Michigan based service company.
Mr. Hartsfield provides expertise in
negotiations, reimbursement, financial analysis, and developing
financial systems. He has developed easy to follow processes for billing
and collections to assist facilities to improve cash flow and minimize
outstanding receivables. Additionally, as a licensed nursing home
administrator, Mr. Hartsfield manages teams to deliver high quality
care, while improving the overall profitability and marketability of the
facility, even in hard to service areas. His expertise in urban
communities has led to fast turn-arounds in highly compromised
facilities.
